Belagavi: As expected, Sri Ram Sena has once again woken up to alert youths against celebrating Valentine’s Day on February 14. Claiming that celebration of Valentine’s Day was against Indian culture and tradition, the sena office-bearers urged the government not to allow anybody to celebrate it under any circumstances.

The government should take a serious note of illegal activities taking place in the name of Valentine’s Day and never allow such western practices, the sena leaders said while staging a dharna in front of DC office in Belagavi. Sena leaders Ramakant Konduskar and Ravi Kokitkar headed the dharna and alleged that the practice of love-jihad was being carried out to covert Hindu girls into Islam religion.

Urging to safeguard the Hindu culture by extending protection to women, the sena urged the government to initiate measures to ensure security to women. The sena leaders condemned, what they alleged, the indecent behaviour by people in clubs, bars and other places in the name of Valentine’s Day.
