Belagavi: The nature-friendly “Kalusanka” (walkers bridge) constructed across the Pandari river, connecting between Ghose and Londa villages was dedicated on Monday. Khanapur Congress MLA Dr. Anjali Nimbalkar inaugurated the bridge.

The Public Works department has constructed the Eco-friendly bridge on line of Leh at Himachal Pradesh, at the cost of Rs 33 lakh. More than 2000 people of nearby 10 villages would be benefited. People used to cross the river through the wooden bridge which was dangerous during the winter season. Amid objections by the Forest department, the legislator succeed the getting the work done. It has been proposed to construct five more such steel brides in the forest zone of the taluk.
