Gokak: Linayat BJP leaders MPs Suresh Angadi and Prabhakar Kore, MLC Mahantesh Kavatagimath, former MLAs Dr. Vishwanath Patil and AS Patil ( Nadahalli) had a tough to answer to the questions asked by their own community people after their meeting with “Lingayat Leaders” at KLES Mahadevapanna Munavalli School premises on Saturday.

Soon, the Lingayat elected representatives came out from the meeting, hundreds of Lingayats circled them and appealed them not to force their community to vote Ramesh Jarkiholi. He was the person squeezed the Lingayats for the last 30 years in Gokak taluk. On many occasions he has snatched out political rights, they said.

Prakash Bagoji, a candidate contesting independently, who retired from the contest and declared support to JD(S) candidate Ashok Pujari kneeled down before Angadi, who the minister of Railway Minister of State and begged him and other Lingayat leaders came out from the meeting, do, not pressurize Lingayats to vote Ramesh Jarkiholi. However, the leaders left without any reply.

JDS Candidate Ashok Pujari is also from Lingayat who is trying his best for the fourth time from Gokak against Ramesh Jarkiholi. Lingayats have major 75, 000 votes in the 2.15 lakh voters’ constituency.
