Gokak: JDS leader Kumaraswamy said there would be a major change in state politics after the result announcement day on Dec 9. Ashok Pujari, contesting from Gokak from the party will become a minister in the next government.

Speaking to newspersons at Hirenandi village in Gokak constituency on Sunday, the two-time former CM refused to say his calculations either with Congress or BJP. However, the possibilities of reuniting with his two-time government-alliance partner Congress are more than BJP.

He described Pujari, who had started his political carrier from JD(S), returned after being with BJP till the day of announcing ticket to contest the election from Gokak, as an honest person and appealed people to elect and witness the change in the constituency and prosperity in the life.

Kumaraswamy, without quoting the BJP candidate Ramesh Jarkiholi, contesting from Gokak said that Pujari is not an industrialist, he neither has huge property nor having a big sugar factory. The person whom the media call “Gokak Sahukar” (Richest Person of Gokak) has kept pending more than hundred crore rupees due to the farmers who had supplied sugarcane to his factory and appealed to elect Pujari to come out from the vicious clutches of such people.
